Contest
Your chance to win some cool prizes!

But oh yes they did! Producers opened Broadway shows that were critical and financial flops. Wonderful actresses made famous by playing certain lead characters in Broadway musicals with which they will forever be linked, also went on to sing the songs made famous by yet other leading ladies before they stepped down from their hallmark roles; You'll hear these lesser-heard songs sung right here, and if you think you know to whom you are listening, you'll no doubt think to yourself – "Oh no. They Didn't!"

CONTEST CLOSED!

Oh No They Didn't!

First place winner is Doug White of Orlando with only 3 incorrect answers. Second place goes to Sandy Berlepsch of Kissimmee who won tickets even though she had more the 50% of the answers wrong! That's how terrible everyone else did, and will hopefully serve as a reminder that you need not answer all the question to come out a winner. This has proved to be the most difficult contest we have ever run. Congrats to our Doug and Sandy.

Each of our winnders have won a pair of tickets to see:

PART I
Use the following clues to identify 6 Broadway bombs: Each is a show that closed within a day or weeks of opening due to less than stellar reviews, or a show that lost a boat load of money even after a somewhat respectable run. The clues are simply clues. The clues are not synonyms, nor are they word for word parodies. Just clues. In the space provided, simply enter the name of a Broadway Bomb you think corresponds to each clue.

PART II

Listen to these four very brief audio clips of actresses singing a snippet of a song made famous on Broadway. Your challenge is to identify NOT the song, but rather the singer and the name of the Musical from which the song she’s singing hails. HINT: Don’t jump to quick conclusions: All four of our featured singers are quite famous in their own right, however not one of the four originated the role they are singing here. Now, listen to each clip then identify the SINGER and the SHOW from which the clip was taken.
