Festival and the winner of the Audience Picks
Award for overall most tickets sold of at the
Fringe Festival - DRAGNESS OF GOD And The Naked
Holy Ghost – will be presented at the Parliament
House's Footlight Theater on four consecutive Friday
evenings, beginning August 5th, 2005.
The
entire original cast will reprise their roles.
After
seeing Wanzie’s non-offensive, heart touching
LADIES
OF EOLA HEIGHTS ... Just when
you thought it was safe to go back into the theater;
here comes Wanzie’s hilarious cross-dressing
parody of Broadway’s Agnes of God –
DRAGNESS OF GOD And The Naked Holy Ghost!
Is
it possible for Wanzie to have written something more
twisted than CAROLINA MOON A Campy Trailer Trash
Tragedy, you ask? The answer is a resounding YES!
And Kenny Howard’s direction is on equal footing
with Wanzie’s twisted writing, as well as the
unique acting choices of the ensemble:
DOUG
is the meek and demure Agnes – The novice who
seems to have given birth to that dead baby in the
wastepaper basket.
TOMMY
WOOTEN is Dr. Livingston – The psychiatrist sent
to determine Agnes’s competency to stand trial,
but whose own mental stability is questionable.
And
WANZIE is Mother Superior – A nun with a past.
Add
to this, one Naked Holy Ghost – played by JAMES
KERSEY - who appears ... well ... naked. Very, very
naked. FULL FRONTAL NAKED!
