A former life-sized dancing Muppet, touring the country with Jim Hensen's Sesame Street Live, Wanzie is now Creative Director of Orlando's famed Parliament House Resort & Entertainment Complex (The world's largest gay resort). Wanzie has appeared in Private Lives, Marat Sade, The 8 Reindeer Monologues, *David's Time, *Forbidden Kingdom, *Monorail Inferno, On Tina Tuna Walk, Vampire Lesbians of Sodom, Women Behind Bars, *Two Men Trapped in Women's Bodies (l & ll), Season's Greetings, Trailer Trash Tabloid, Laundry & Bourbon, Queen of Bingo, *Carolina Moon: A Campy Trailer Trash Tragedy, *A Trailer Trash Christmas, *Ladies of Eola Heights and *Dragness of God. In addition to the above asterisked titles, Michael Wanzie has also written In Close Quarters, Living on The Edge: A Fare and Balanced Rant with Songs, LIZZIE The Musical, AFTER THE PROM: Ladies of Eola Heights Part 2, and COURT-ORDERED THERAPY: Ladies of Eola Heights Part 3. Wanzie has also written shows for Walt Disney World. As a playwright Wanzie is a two-time winner of the Patron's Pick Award for Best Play at Orlando Fringe, as well as a two-time winner of the People's Choice Award for best performance by a Fringe Actor.
